    Body



  • 1. Must be a full size or mid size truck/SUV with a full frame.
  • 2. Body and frame do not have to match but, must be from same parent manufacturer.
  • 3. Must have a complete body. Body may be modified, but still must retain all panels.
  • Exception: Tailgates can be removed.
  • 4. All body panels must be securely mounted to vehicle.
  • 5. Fiberglass fenders and bedsides ok.
  • 6. Fenders and rear quarter panels may be radius for larger tires. No more then 3" of material allowed to be removed.
  • 7. May remove front inner fender and core supports.
  • 8. All headlights, tail lights, mirrors and misc. plastic parts must be removed.
  • 9. Drivers compartment must be properly sealed from outside conditions.
  • Example: No open gaps between bottom of door to the rocker panel. No large holes or gaps in floor boards.
  • 10. Must have tow hooks or tow chains. Hooks and chains must be mounted securely to vehicles frame. Hooks and chains must be visible and easy to access.
  • 11. All cars must have numbers on both doors and roof. Door numbers must be a minimum of 22" tall and 3" wide. Roof numbers must be a minimum of 24" tall and 3" wide. Bottom of roof number must point towards passenger side.
  • 12. Numbers must be a contrasting color from car. No reflective material can be used for car numbers.
  • 13. No vulgar language or images will be allowed on vehicle.
  • 14. All glass must be removed from vehicle. Front windshields may be left in place as long as they are in good shape and not considered a safety hazard.

  • Interior



  • 1. All carpet, door panels, extra seats and glass must be removed from vehicle. Front windshields may be left in place as long as they are in good shape and not considered a safety hazard.
  • 2. Ok to remove dash and dash structure.
  • 3. Must retain factory pedal mounts.
  • 4. All airbags must be removed.
  • 5. One seat only. Must be in stock driver's location for make of vehicle.
  • 6. Seat may be stock or an aftermarket suspension seat.
  • 6. No loose objects.
  • 7. All parts of the vehicle's fuel system (pump, tank and lines) must be located outside of the driver compartment.

  • Frame/Suspension/Steering/Brakes/Weighting




  • 1. Vehicle may be 2wd or 4x4.
  • 2. Vehicle must have an OEM full frame. No tube frames allowed.
  • 3. Frame must be from same parent manufacturer as body.
  • 4. Suspension must be from same parent manufacturer as frame and body.
  • 5. Frame may be boxed.
  • 6. Shocks must be mounted in stock areas on frame.
  • 7. Shock mounts may be reinforced or redesigned.
  • Example: OK to install shock hoops.
  • 8. Long travel and remote reservoir type shocks OK.
  • 9. No coil over shocks allowed unless they are an OEM replacement shock.
  • 10. Suspension Lift kits allowed. Maximum allowed is 4".
  • 11. Body lift kits allowed. Maximum allowed is 2".
  • 12. May only run one type of lift. Body lifts in conjunction with suspension will not be allowed.
  • 13. All front and rear axle assemblies must be from parent manufacturer of frame and body.
  • 14. Aftermarket axle shafts ok.
  • 15. OK to add axle trusses.
  • 16. A arms may be stock or aftermarket long travel type.
  • 17. Maximum suspension travel is 14".
  • 18. All steering components must be from parent manufacturer.
  • 19. No hydraulic steering allowed.
  • 20. Aftermarket steering dampeners OK.
  • 21. No steering quickeners allowed.
  • 22. Brakes must be all OEM or OEM replacement parts.
  • 23. Brake must lock up all 4 wheels under hard braking.
  • 24. Weighting allowed only over center line of rear axle. Weights must be mounted within frame width. All weights must be securely mounted to frame or bed. All weights will be inspected.

  • Roll Cage



  • 1. All vehicles must have a minimum of a 4 point style roll cage. (see illustration below)
  • 2. Ok to add front and rear hoops. (see illustration below)
  • 3. No exterior roll cages allowed.
  • 4. Roll bars and hoops must be built from a minimum of a 1 ½ round type tubing and .095 thickness.
  • 5. Each corner of cage at frame or floor contact point must have a floor plate 4x4x1/8" and have at least 2, 2"x2"x1/8 gusset. HIGHLY RECOMMEND having same style gussets at all tubing junctions.
  • 6. Floor plate must be bolted to floor board, or directly welded to frame.
  • 7. All tubing must be bent when changing angle. No cutting and notching to make a curve.
  • 8. All roll cages will be inspected for safety and proper construction.

    Bumpers



  • 1. All vehicles must have a front bumper and rear bumper.
  • 2. Bumpers may be stock, aftermarket, or home built.
  • 3. All home built bumpers will be inspected.
  • 4. Baja or arena type bumpers OK.
  • 5. May attach tow hooks or tow chains to bumpers. All tow hooks and tow chains will be inspected.
  • 6. Bumpers may be welded or bolted to frame. All bumper mounting will be inspected.

  • Engine/Transmission



  • 1. Engine must be from same parent manufacturer as frame and body.
  • 2. Engine may be a gas or diesel.
  • 3. Engine can not be any larger then 460 C.I. (7.5 Liter)
  • 4. Aftermarket intakes ok.
  • 5. No aftermarket performance heads or blocks allowed.
  • 6. Aftermarket camshafts ok.
  • 7. Transmissions must be from same parent manufacturer as frame and body.
  • 8. Transmission may be a manual or automatic type.
  • 9. All transmissions must have minimum of one forward gear, reverse gear, and neutral.

  • Induction & Fuel Systems



  • 1. Aftermarket Intakes OK.
  • 2. One carburetor only. Max size of 850 CFM.
  • 3. EFI systems must be from parent manufacturer of frame and body.
  • 4. May run aftermarket air intake systems.
  • 5. K&N type filters OK
  • .
  • 6. No NOS allowed.
  • 7. No super charges allowed.
  • 8. Turbo allowed only if your engine originally came from manufacturer with one.
  • 9. Pump gas only. Aviation fuel Ok. No fuel additives.
  • 10. May run OEM fuel tank, boat tank or race style fuel cell.
  • 11. Fuel tank may be moved to back of vehicle. Must be mounted above frame, behind or forward of rear axle.
  • 12. Fuel tank must be mounted with a minimum of 2 steel straps.
  • 13. Fuel cells must have roll over valve.

  • Exhaust



  • 1. Headers OK.
  • 2. Exhaust must exit under vehicle and behind driver.
  • 3. OK to remove catalytic converters.
  • 4. Exhaust must be mounted securely.

  • Wheels & Tires



  • 1. Maximum tire size of 36". Measurement will be based on manufacturer's imprint on side of tire.
  • 2. Tire must be DOT approved MT or AT tire. No studded tires will be allowed.
  • 3. Tire tread can not be altered. Exception: Tire sipping OK.
  • 4. Wheels must be DOT approved.
  • 5. Bead lock wheels allowed.

  • Cooling



  • 1. One radiator only. Must be mounted in stock location.
  • 2. Replacing mechanical fan for electric fan OK.
  • 3. Must run OEM style water pump.
  • 4. Must run straight water only. No additives allowed.
  • 5. Must have overflow bottle. Bottle must be in good shape and not leak.

  • Electrical & Ignition



  • 1. Ignition system must be stock type for make, model and year of vehicle.
  • Example: 1984 Chevy ½ ton must run HEI style system.
  • 2. May run aftermarket coils, wires, spark plugs, and distributors.
  • 3. No magneto type distributors allowed.
  • 4. Must run OEM style alternator. Alternator must be hook up and be functional.
  • 5. Must have master kill switch. Switch should be mounted in easy reach of driver.
  • 6. Must run battery. Battery must be enclosed in a boat or race car type box.
  • 7. Battery may be moved. Battery may be mounted in the cab, bed or under the hood.
  • 8. Battery must be secured by metal hold downs. No ratchet straps or bungee cords allowed.

  • Safety



  • 1. All drivers must wear a helmet.
  • 2. Helmet must be a full face or motor cross style.
  • 3. Helmet must be in good shape with no signs of damage. RECOMMENED TO HAVE 2005 OR BETTER DOT RATED HELMET.
  • 4. Must have motorcycle/snowmobile goggles or face shield with helmet. Sunglass or safety glass not allowed.
  • 5. Must have full fire suit. Military flight suits ok.
  • 6. Must have full shoes or boots.
  • 7. All vehicles must have a minimum of a 2 ½ pound fire extinguisher within easy grasp of driver.
  • 8. Must run 5 point style race harness. Belts older then 2 years Ok.
  • 9. Must have window net on driver's door. Net must be an approved automotive racing style.
  • 10. Seat may be stock or an aftermarket suspension seat.
  • 11. All seat belts must be in good shape. All seat belts will be inspected for damage and for proper installation.
  • 12. Highly recommended to have a neck brace.
